RAJSHAHI, Aug 19, 2025 (BSS)- Speakers at a seminar unanimously mentioned that close collaborations between the academics and industry can be the best ways of boosting the country's economic growth.
In all the present perspectives, the collaboration can play vital roles towards removing the gap between the theoretical and practical knowledge of the graduates.
Academics and professionals came up with the observations while addressing a seminar titled "Academic-Industry Collaboration of Innovation: Real-World Challenges and Advances in Turbo Machinery" at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) here today.
Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at RUET organized the seminar at its conference hall supported by RUET Society of Automotive Engineering.
RUET Vice-chancellor (VC) Prof SM Abdur Razzaque addressed the seminar as the chief guest, while IQAC Director Prof Imdadul Haque was in the chair.
Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty Prof Nurul Islam, Dean of Electronics and Computer Science Faculty Prof Bashir Ahmed, Students Welfare Director Prof Rabiul Islam, IQAC Additional Director Prof Mahmud Sazzad and Managing Director of Roto Tech Bangladesh Limited Abdul Aziz also spoke on the occasion.
VC Prof Abdur Razzaque said the issue of reciprocal relation building and working jointly by industry experts and academia is very much important in terms of generating competent workforces.
In future, the RUET will host more industry-academia collaboration meetings on a large scale for the sake of the country's development through boosting relations between the industry experts and academia.
He also said industry experts and academia should work together for founding skilled human resources to face the fourth industrial revolution.
Prof Razzaque also said close collaboration between industry and academia can be the crucial means of attaining cherished development of the nation.
He said they are working relentlessly for strengthening the collaboration for boosting employment generation and industrial production after the best use of skilled human resources.
