DHAKA, Aug 19, 2025 (BSS) - Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Bangladesh Yousef S.Y. Ramadan paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan today at the latter's office of the university.

During the meeting, they exchanged views regarding various issues including admission of Palestinian students at Dhaka University as well as granting scholarship to them, said a press release here.

Palestinian ambassador sought cooperation from DU authorities in providing scholarship to Palestine students. 

He also apprised the VC of overall situation, Israeli brutalities, genocide and inhuman activities in Palestine. 

He thanked the people of Bangladesh for standing beside Palestinian people.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan assured the ambassador of taking all possible measures in proving scholarship to Palestinian students.

He also condemned Israeli brutal attacks and killings of Palestinian people.
 
Later, Palestinian Ambassador Yousef S.Y. Ramadan delivered a special lecture on 'Gaza: The Genocide of the 21stCentury Happening Live before the World's Eyes' at DU Arabic Department.
