DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - The Rural Development and Cooperatives Division has decided to distribute the National Cooperatives Award, 2024.

On this occasion, 14 National Cooperatives Awards will be conferred in 10 categories.

Of those, 10 cooperatives societies and four cooperatives (2 male, 2 female) in 10 classes/categories will be nominated for the 2024 Cooperatives Award, said a letter, signed by Munima Hafiz, Registrar and Director General (Additional Duty) of the Cooperatives Department, on September 8.

The classes/categories of cooperatives societies are: Agricultural/Overall Rural Development Cooperative, Savings and Loan/Credit Cooperatives, Production-oriented Cooperatives, Business Cooperatives, Freedom Fighter Cooperatives, Women's Cooperatives, Occupation-based Cooperatives, Housing or Multipurpose Cooperatives and special and other categories.

Application forms can be obtained from the website of the Rural Development and Cooperatives Department www.rded.gov.bd, the website of the Cooperatives Department www.coop.gov.bd, and the web portal of the Divisional Cooperatives Office, District and Upazila Cooperatives Offices.

The cooperatives and the representatives of the cooperatives must fill out the application form online or submit it in hard copy to the Upazila Cooperatives Office by September 16.
