Recruitment of 3,475 nurses finalized, posted: health secretary

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - The recruitment of 3,475 senior staff nurses has been finalized across the country today, said Health Services Division Secretary Md. Saidur Rahman.

Talking to BSS, he said the recruitment of senior staff nurses was finalized to ensure smooth health services for the people across the country.

The secretary said the recruitment was finalized transparently with the dedicated efforts of Health and Family Welfare Adviser Nurjahan Begum and Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant on Health and Family Welfare Ministry Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman.

Saidur Rahman said the senior staff nurses were posted digitally according to their preference and merit.

The secretary hoped that the senior staff nurses concerned with the new postings would join their workplaces quickly and dedicate themselves to serving patients in the hospital.

Meanwhile, a notification was issued by the Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare regarding the recruitment.

The notification said the newly recruited and posted senior staff nurses will have to join the posted hospitals and health care institutions on the morning of September 30, 2025 and in this case, they will have to follow the prescribed sample of joining letter published on the website of the Health Services Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Directorate General of Nursing and Midwifery.
