17 civil service officers transferred to diplomatic missions abroad

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - The government has transferred 17 officers of different cadres of the Bangladesh Civil Service to various diplomatic missions abroad.

The Ministry of Public Administration (MoPA) issued a gazette notification in this regard today.

According to the notification, Joint Secretary of MoPA Md Siddiqur Rahman has been transferred to Bangladesh High Commission, Kuala Lumpur as Minister (Labour), Joint Secretary of Planning Commission Jubaida Mannan to Bangladesh Embassy, Muscat as Minister (Labour), and Joint Secretary of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Mahmudur Rahman to Bangladesh Embassy, Riyadh as Minister (Labour).

Deputy Secretary of Planning Commission SM Saifur Rahman has been posted to Bangladesh Embassy, Kuwait as Counsellor (Labour), while Senior Assistant Secretary of Water Resources Ministry Mehruba Islam to Bangladesh Consulate General, Milan as First Secretary (Labour). 

Additional District Magistrate of Sylhet, Farzana Akter Mita, has been transferred to Bangladesh Embassy, Geneva as First Secretary (Labour), and Additional District Magistrate of Narsingdi, Md Nazmul Hasan, to Bangladesh Consulate General, Jeddah as First Secretary (Labour).

Senior Assistant Secretary of MoPA Arif Faisal Khan has been sent to Bangladesh Embassy, Abu Dhabi as First Secretary (Labour), and Senior Assistant Chief of Planning Commission Farah Tanjila Matin to Bangladesh High Commission, Singapore as First Secretary (Labour). Assistant Director of Regional Public Administration Training Centre, Rajshahi, Noor Ahmed Masum, has been posted to Bangladesh High Commission, Canberra as First Secretary (Labour), while Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Satkhira Sadar, Shoaib Ahmed, to Bangladesh Embassy, Doha as First Secretary (Labour).

Senior Assistant Secretary of Health, Education and Family Welfare Division Marzia Sultana has been transferred to Bangladesh Embassy, Athens as First Secretary (Labour), Deputy Director of Governance Innovation Unit under the Chief Adviser's Office Zahir Imam to Bangladesh Embassy, Bangkok as First Secretary (Labour), Assistant Private Secretary of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Mahid Al Hasan to Bangladesh Embassy, Madrid as First Secretary (Labour), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bhola Md Belal Hossain to Bangladesh Embassy, Cairo as First Secretary (Labour), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Noakhali Muhammad Ismail to Bangladesh Embassy, Moscow as First Secretary (Labour), and Deputy Director of Information and Communication Technology Department AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed to Bangladesh Embassy, Bucharest, Romania, as First Secretary (Labour).
