TSS, TiCON System Ltd ink strategic partnership deal

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - To strengthen Bangladesh’s ICT sector, enhance local production capacity, and attract foreign investment, a strategic partnership agreement has been signed between the state-owned Telephone Shilpa Sangstha (TSS) and leading technology company TiCON System Ltd today.

The signing ceremony was held at the conference room of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications in the city, said a press release. 

The event was attended with  the presence of Faiz  Ahmad Taiyeb,  Special Assistant (ICT) to the Chief Adviser as the chief guest. 

Also present were Abdun Naser Khan, Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications, senior officials from the Ministry, including additional secretaries, joint secretaries, and deputy secretaries, along with A.K.M. Golam Baharul, Managing Director of TSS.

From TSS, senior officials Debashish Roy (GM, Plant & Production) and Ershad Hossain (DGM, Planning and Coordination) also attended it while TiCON System Ltd. was represented by its Managing Director, Rafiqul Islam, accompanied by his team members.

Speakers at the ceremony highlighted that this partnership will play a pivotal role in reducing import dependency, creating new employment opportunities, and realizing the government’s “Made in Bangladesh” vision. 

They also noted that the initiative will attract new foreign direct investment (FDI), boosting the economy and making the technology sector more competitive on the global stage.
