Committee to sit VCs, principals tomorrow to address engineers’ demands

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS)– The committee which was formed to examine and make recommendations on the professional demands of BSc and diploma engineers, will meet the Vice Chancellors (VCs) and Principals tomorrow.

To this end, letters signed by Kazi Muhammad Mozammel Haque, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Member Secretary of the committee, were sent to all divisions. 

Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Adviser to the Ministries of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Road Transport and Bridges, and Railways, will preside as chairman of the committee.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at 2:30 pm at the Ministry of Public Administration.  

According to the letter, the meeting of the committee, which was formed to examine the rationality of the demands of BSc and diploma engineers in the profession and prepare recommendations, will be held in coordination with the concerned educational institutions.

It is noted that there are more than 800,000 diploma engineers and over 450,000 students are studying in polytechnic institutions across the country.

They had been carrying out movements to meet their various demands.
