9 police inspectors sent on retirement

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) – The government has sent nine inspectors of police on retirement.

The Home Ministry issued a gazette notification signed by its Senior Secretary Nasimul Ghani to this end on September 15. 

This order, issued “for the sake of public interest” shall come into effect immediately.
 
The nine police officers working in Bangladesh Police have completed 25 years of service and are hereby granted retirement from government service in the public interest in accordance with the provisions of Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018), said the notification. 

The police officers who have been sent on retirement are: KM Azizul Islam, Md. Abdur Rashid, Md. Jamal Uddin Mir, Akbar Ali Khan,  Md. Sirajul Islam Sheikh,   Mir Jahedul Haque Roni    Md. Asikuzzaman, Md. Azizur Rahman  and Md. Aslam Hossain .

 They will get retirement benefits as per rules.
