Interim govt is committed to ensure basic rights of people: land secretary

DHAKA, Sept 17, 2025 (BSS) - Senior Secretary of the land ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed today said that the interim government is committed to ensure all basic rights of the people.

"We want to ensure peaceful existence of all as we want peace," he said this while exchanging views with the residents and beneficiaries of Bhasantek Rehabilitation Project (BRP) at the land ministry conference room at Bangladesh Secretariat here.

The views exchange meeting was addressed, among others, by Joint Secretary of the ministry M M Arif Pasha, project director Amjad Hossain and representatives of the residential project.

The land secretary said that the public interests are above all and the government is obviously beside the people.

A safe residence is the basic right of a citizen and no evil force can destroy the basic rights of the people, he added.

The senior secretary gave a patient hearing to the beneficiaries of the project.
