DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) – The government today appointed Bangladesh Army’s newly promoted Major General Md Mesbah Uddin Ahmed as the chairman of Bangladesh Tea Board, an official statement said.

The public administration ministry issued a gazette notification on his appointed shortly after he was promoted as a two-star general from a brigadier general.

Ahmed will serve in the tea board on deputation under commerce ministry.
