RANGAMATI, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) – A cheque from the Chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund was handed over today to cover the cancer treatment expenses of the mother of national women’s footballer Rituparna Chakma, a resident of Kaukhali upazila of the district.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habib Ullah Maruf handed over the cheque at a meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Ruhul Amin, Kaukhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kazi Md Atiqur Rahman, among others, were present at the event.

Pumpi Chakma, sister of Rituparna, received the cheque.
