Motorcyclist killed in Tangail road crash

TANGAIL, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed and another injured when a bus hit their bike near Chatipara Bridge under Kalihati upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Anik, 20, son of Nishan of Chhota Binyafair village in Tangail Sadar upazila.

The accident took place this morning when a bus coming from behind ran over their motorcycle, leaving bike rider Anik dead on the spot and its pillion Abir, 15, injured, said Mahbub Hossain, sub inspector of Elenga Highway Police.

The injured was taken to a local hospital.
