DHAKA, Sept 26, 2025 (BSS) - Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) will have to go for Hajj from Bangladesh.

To this end, the Ministry of Religious Affairs recently issued a notification.

According to the notification, Bangladeshis residing or located abroad are strictly prohibited from traveling directly to Saudi Arabia to perform the holy Hajj.

The Ministry's letter noted that some Hajj agencies have been registering Bangladeshis living overseas and facilitating their direct travel to Saudi Arabia from the foreign country.

This practice has created various problems in the overall management of the Hajj pilgrimage.
