Advier Faruke-e-Azam cautions rumors during Durga Puja

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam today called upon all concern to remain alert of rumors during the Durga Puja celebration. 
 
The adviser requested all not to react instantly after hearing any incidents based on rumor and to verify the information before taking any action. He also stressed the need to avoid any sorts of inconvenience in and around the puja mandaps based on misunderstandings. 
 
The adviser made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a clothes distribution program on the occasion of Sharadiya Durga Puja celebration organized by the Chattogram chapter of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad. 
 
The function was held at Bangladesh Hindu Foundation Auditorium in the city's Momin Road area this afternoon.
 
Faruk-e-Azam encouraged everyone to participate in the puja with their families and celebrate the festival with religious devotion and fervor. 
 
Explaining about the intention and planning of the interim government, he said this government has no personal ambitions or preferences rather than completing responsibilities including holding an election entrusted upon them by the people of the country following the 2024 July Uprising. 
 
"Our sole goal is to establish a secured and stable elected government by holding the upcoming national polls in a conducive atmosphere so that everyone could benefit equally" he said. 
 
The Adviser assured that the government is committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for worshippers to celebrate Durga Puja this year. All necessary security measures and preparations have been completed by the government for the smooth celebrations of the puja and related activities.
 
He recalled how during his childhood, people of all backgrounds would come together to celebrate the festival, enjoying sweets and cultural programs at various puja mandaps.
