DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) – Religious Affairs Adviser A F M Khalid Hossain today said higher education is key to build a prosperous nation.

“It (higher education) is not merely limited in acquiring knowledge rather helps constructing person’s moral base,” he said while Speaking as the chief guest at a reunion program at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC),Chattagram. 

He said higher education creates scopes for better employment and ensures economic stability and also allows individuals to be more confident and advance towards prosperity.

The reunion was arranged by the alumnus of the Quranic Science and Islamic Studies department of the university at its auditorium this morning, a religious affairs ministry’s press release said here.

Dr. Khalid said the advancement of a country highly depends on higher education system. Technology, Science and research collectively accelerate the national economic growth and create skilled human resources.

”Skilled manpower advances a country in global competitions and help making national, educational polices,” he added.

With IIUC Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Azadi in the chair, Prof. Abu Bakar Rafiq, Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Prof. Gias Uddin Hafiz Dr. Shafikur Rahman and Prof. Ahsanullah spoke on the occasion, among others.
