BAGERHAT, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defence and National Reconciliation Affairs Lt. Gen. (retd.) Abdul Hafiz visited various puja mandaps in Mollahat, Bagerhat, on the occasion of the Sharidiya Durga Puja.

While visiting the largest puja mandap of the upazila, Gawla Tentulbari today, he said proper security arrangements are made for the puja. The government has taken all-out so that the Hindu community can celebrate their religious activities properly, he added. 

He also visited the Joydihi Central Radha Gobinda Temple of the upazila. Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan, Superintendent of Police Md. Asaduzzaman, Army Major Md. Rafiq, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shyamananda Kundu and other administration officials were present at the time.

Among the political leaders, BNP Central Executive Committee member Advocate Sheikh Wahiduzzaman Dipu, Upazila BNP President Sheikh Hafizur Rahman and General Secretary Md. Harun Al Rashid were also present at that time.
