New instructions to boost girl guides, ranger acts in schools, colleges

DHAKA, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) - The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has issued new instructions to accelerate girl guides and ranger activities in educational institutions.

According to the instructions, educational institutions under the department will hold regular meetings with girl guides and ranger guiders and send a quarterly report on the activities to the regional office of the education department by 5th working day of every next month, while the regional office will forward the report to the directorate office by 10th of a month.

Girl guides and ranger guider would prepare a one year plan and carryout the activities accordingly with the approval of the concerned group committee, said the instructions.

The head of institution will ensure that the activities are being conducted properly.

Girl guides and rangers should also be engaged as volunteers to maintain cleanliness in the educational premises.

The heads of the institutions will prepare an annual report on activities of girl guides and rangers and send it to regional office by January 31, while regional office will send it to the directorate office by February via mail.
