
DHAKA, Nov 28, 2025 (BSS) - The admission test for the BBA programme under the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University (DU) for the academic year 2025-2026 was held today in a smooth and peaceful manner.
A total of 9,526 admission seekers appeared for the test against 120 seats.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmad Khan visited the examination centre at the IBA and said the highly competitive test was held in an extremely smooth, peaceful and disciplined environment.
He noted that 80 candidates were competing for each seat, meaning that 79 would not be able to secure admission. He urged parents not to create any mental pressure on their children, emphasizing that not getting admitted does not mark the end of life.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Professor Dr M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Proctor Professor Saifuddin Ahmed and IBA Director Professor Shakil Huda were present during the visit.
Besides, the admission test (General Knowledge and Drawing) for the Undergraduate Programme under the "Fine Arts Unit" for the academic year 2025-2026 will be held tomorrow, Saturday.
Moreover, the admission test for the Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit will be held on 13 December, the Science Unit on 20 December, and the Business Studies Unit on 6 December. All unit admission tests will take place from 11:00am to 12:30pm.
