RANGAMATI, Oct 10, 2025 (BSS) - Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Adviser Supradeep Chakma today said the present government is firm to keep the nation bound by ties of unity and amity as mutual respect and love is most necessary in the society. 

“Mutual respect and love is very much needed in our society, so the government is determined to keep the nation bound by ties of unity and friendship,” he said.

The adviser said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the 51st Kathina Robe Offering of Rangapani Milan Monastery at Rangapani Kanta memorial football ground here tonight.

Adviser Supradeep Chakma officially inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon, lighting the lanterns, and weaving the cheebar.

One of the most important offerings in Buddhism—the offering of a solid robe—is a symbol of reverence, restraint, and concentration.This festival is not only religious, but also a shining example of social harmony.

Advisor Supradeep Chakma, in his speech, called for maintaining brotherhood and tolerance among all.

He said, "The message of peace of religion unites us all. It is our moral responsibility to wish the happiness and prosperity of all beings in the world."
