RANGAMATI, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS – Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain today said they do not want safe exit rather to stay at home after handing over the state power to an elected government by holding the upcoming parliamentary elections in February.
“I have no home abroad. I am passing my life in a very simple way. The country is ours and it is our last resort. We want a normal exit. We want to hand over the state power through holding elections,” she said.
He made the remarks while replying to questions from journalists after attending a rally of harmony organized by Parbattya Chattogram Olama Parishad at Shilpakala Academy, Rangamati here.
The adviser said the next election will be held in February next in accordance with the announcement of the Chief Adviser.
“We have cent percent preparations for the election. We hope the election will be free, fair and inclusive. We hope will hand over the state power to an elected government through holding the election,” he said.
The Adviser said the Chattogram Hill Tracks (CHT) is a diversified region with living people from various communities.
“A harmony should be built among the people of every community in the region,” he said, adding that one flower can never make a garden rather many flowers collectively create a beautiful garden.
Religious Affairs Ministry’s Joint Secretary Sadek Hossain and Rangamati deputy commissioner Md Habib Ullah Maruf and Superintendent of Police Dr SM Farhad Hossain were special guests at the meeting.
Parbattya Chattogram Olama Parishad central committee president Maulana Hazi Shariat Ullah presided over the meeting while general secretary Maulana Muhammad Abu Bakar Siddique moderated it.
