DHAKA, Oct 12, 2025 (BSS) - The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has taken the initiative to celebrate “National Livestock Week” in the third week of November 2025.

The decision was taken in the meeting of the council of advisers on October 9 to highlight its importance for increasing participation of all the stakeholders in sustainable development of the sector.

In a statement issued today, the ministry said that this decision will institutionalize the development activities of the livestock sector and create new enthusiasm among entrepreneurs, farmers, researchers, investors and all stakeholders working in this sector.

Under the overall supervision of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, various programmes will be taken to celebrate the “National Livestock Week 2025”.

The programmes include exhibitions of modern technologies and innovations used in the livestock sector, displays of profitable and attractive animals, and presentations of diverse and traditional animal foods will be held.
