RANGAMATI, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) - A housewife drowned after falling from a boat in Kaptai Lake of Bilaichhari of the district today.

The deceased was Lata Marma, 32, wife of Milan Kanti Chakma, a resident of Shamukchhari under Kengrachhari union of the upazila.

The housewife went missing after falling from a boat in Keranchhari area of the lake around 11 am. 

Later, the body of the housewife was recovered after three hours from the lake.

Bilaichhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Manas Barua confirmed the matter.
