The results were officially announced on Thursday at a press conference held
at the Jashore Education Board auditorium by its Chairman Professor Dr.
Mosammat Asma Begum.
Despite the dismal performance, the board authorities refrained from terming
it a "result disaster".
According to board sources, 1,12,574 students from 10 districts appeared for
the exams, of whom 56,509 have passed.
Of the Science group, a total of 21,180 students appeared. Of them, 15,931

Studies group and 6,575 passed. Of them, 435 secured GPA-5.
In total, 5,995 students obtained GPA-5 under the board this year.

50.35pc, Kushtia 48.85pc, Meherpur 48.51pc, Narail 46.46pc, Jhenaidah
