DHAKA, Oct 16, 2025 (BSS) - MIST Blitz, the Formula Student team from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), has brought pride to Bangladesh by achieving remarkable success at the Formula Student Combustion China 2025 competition held in Zhengzhou.

Competing against 76 international teams, MIST Blitz received the Leading Convoy Award as Best Foreign Team along with the Best Presentation Performance Award and secured the 4th position in the Business Plan Presentation category-an extraordinary feat for a first-year team.

Formed in April 2024, the 31-member team from MIST's Department of Mechanical Engineering designed and built their debut formula-style race car, Furiosa 1.0. The car successfully passed major technical inspections and completed two laps on the endurance track-an unprecedented achievement for a Bangladeshi team in its first international appearance.

The judges praised the team's cost-effective and locally manufacturable design, highlighting their professional presentation and engineering depth.

Commandant of MIST congratulated the team, saying, "MIST Blitz has proven that our young engineers have the creativity and drive to compete with the best in the world."

Despite major logistical challenges in transporting the 300-kg race car to China, the team had overcome all hurdles with the support of the Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing and local sponsors.
