DHAKA, Oct 16, 2025 (BSS) - The government has instructed all inbound travel agencies operating without valid licenses to apply for new or renewed licenses by November 6 next in order to continue their business legally.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, through a circular issued today, warned that legal action will be taken against travel agencies that fail to comply with the directive within the stipulated deadline.

The ministry observed that a number of agencies across the country are conducting business without valid licenses or with expired ones, leading to irregularities, fraud, and an increase in consumer complaints in the tourism sector.

According to the circular, all unlicensed or expired travel agencies must apply online for fresh or renewal licenses through www.regtravelagency.gov.bd.

The notice stated that after the deadline, no unlicensed agency will be allowed to operate under any circumstances.

The circular further mentioned that continued operation of unlicensed agencies contributes to financial malpractice and undermines service quality in the tourism industry.
