510 more dengue patients hospitalized across Bangladesh in last 24 hours

DHAKA, Oct 17, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 510 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals nationwide in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the new admissions, 36 were in hospitals under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 116 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 181 in Dhaka division outside city corporation areas, 65 in Barishal division, 88 in Chattogram division, and 24 in Mymensingh division.

With the latest admissions, the total number of dengue cases in the country has reached 58,280, while 55,360 patients have been discharged from hospitals so far this year.

By comparison, Bangladesh recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths in 2024, the DGHS statement added.
