RAJSHAHI, Oct 18, 2025 (BSS)- Vice-chancellor (VC) of Rajshahi University
(RU) Professor Saleh Hassan Naquib and its Pro-VCs Prof Mayeen Uddin and Prof
Farid Uddin Khan expressed their congratulations to the newly-elected body of
Rajshahi University Central Students Union (RUCSU), 17 Hall Councils and five
Student Representatives to the Senate.

They unanimously said the elections were held successfully on Thursday after
a long gap of 35 years and all concerned in the election are winners.

Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib said the students gave a great responsibility to
their elected body. Posts are not an enjoyable matter rather those are the
debt of performing duties.

He also mentioned that the students should have consciousness of politics
even if they have political identity.

The VC reminded the elected bodies that RUCSU is not the platform of
implementing any political agenda. Solely, RUCSU is for all the students
irrespective of party and opinion.

The elected body should work with this consciousness so that the politics
can't hamper the RUCSU's prime goals.

The RUCSU will be an ideal institution through constructive works for the
welfare of the students, Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib hoped.

The VC and Pro-VCs also expressed their heartfelt thanks to the chief
election commissioner, election commissioners, chief returning officer,
returning officers, polling officers, polling agents, candidates, mass-media
representatives and law enforcing agencies for making the election a total
success.
