JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan today said research should focus on the country's environment and ecosystem to ensure greater societal welfare.

He made the remarks while addressing a workshop titled "Understanding Climate Change and Climate Finance: National and International Perspective" held at the university's Senate Hall.

The event organised by the JU Students' Counselling and Guidance Centre, aimed to raise awareness on climate-related challenges.

Dr A K M Nuruzzaman, General Manager of PKSF, presented the keynote paper, while Prof Md Jamal Uddin, Director of the Students' Counselling and Guidance Centre, presided over the event.
