GENEVA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - This year is set to be among the very warmest ever recorded, capping more than a decade of unprecedented heat, the United Nations said Thursday.

"The alarming streak of exceptional temperatures continued in 2025, which is set to be either the second or third warmest year on record," the World Meteorological Organization said in an update on the state of the global climate released ahead of next week's COP30 UN climate summit in Brazil.
