14 districts get new DCs

Dhaka, Nov 9, 2025 (BSS) - The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 14 districts.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration tonight, two existing DCs have been transferred to other districts, while 12 officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary have been appointed as DCs in 12 districts.

Narail DC Sharmin Akter Jahan has been transferred to Brahmanbaria, Meherpur DC Dr Mohammad Abdul Salam to Narail, Director of Environment Department Md Abdullah Al Masud to Jhinaidah as DC, Mohammad Yusuf Ali, zonal Settlement Officer, Khulna, to Jamalpur, as DC, Lutfun Nahar, Deputy Secretary of Home Affairs Ministry to Meherpur as DC, Mohammad Aslam Molla, chief revenue officer of Dhaka South City Corporation to Kishorganj, as DC, Md Momin Uddin, Director of Nursing and Midwifery Department to Jhalokathi, as DC, Md Arif uz Zaman, Deputy Secretary of Home Affairs Ministry to Gopalganj as DC, Mohammad Kamal Hossain, Deputy Secretary of Finance Division to Chuadanga as DC, Kazi Md Sayemuzzaman, Deputy Secretary of Housing and Public Works Ministry to Panchagar as DC, Md Al Mamun Miah, Director of the Chief Adviser's Office to Joypurhat as DC, Md Saifur Rahman, Deputy Secretary of Agricultural Ministry to Mymensingh as DC, Nazmun Ara Sultana, Deputy Director of Local Government Division, Khagrachari district, to Manikganj as DC and Md Nazmul Islam Sarkar, Director of the Chief Adviser's Office to Chandpur as DC.

The notification said the order issued in the public interest will take immediate effect.
