BRUCSU- 2025 election's draft voter list published

RANGPUR, Nov 22, 2025 (BSS) - The draft voter list of the rescheduled Begum Rokeya University Central Students' Union (BRUCSU) and Hall Students' Union (HSU) elections- 2025 has been published.
 
The BRUCSU Election Commission released the draft voter list in a notice signed by its all six-members on Saturday evening, said a press release tonight. 
 
The draft list includes the names of students studying at the university, who will be considered eligible to vote in the elections. 
 
The draft voter list will be displayed on the notice boards of the concerned departments and halls. 
 
Students can verify the list and apply to the BRUCSU Election Commission for necessary objections or corrections by 5 pm on November 24, 2025. 
 
After the objections are resolved, the final voter list will be published on November 26, 2025, the release added. 
 
Earlier, the polling date for the BRUCSU and HSU elections was rescheduled to make the elections festive with spontaneous participation of students. 
 
Earlier, the BRUCSU Election Commission rescheduled the polling date for the BRUCSU and HSU elections to December 24, 2025 instead of December 29, 2025 in a letter on Thursday evening.
 
According to the revised schedule, nomination papers will be distributed from November 27 to December 1. 
 
Nominations will be submitted on December 2 and 3, nomination papers will be scrutinised on December 4 and 6, the initial list of candidates will be published on December 7.
 
Objections to the primary list will be accepted and resolved on December 8, withdrawal of nomination papers will be made on December 9, and the final list of candidates will be published on December 10. 
 
For the first time since its establishment in 2008, the university is set to hold elections for the BRUCSU and HSU from 9 am to 4 pm on December 24, 2025.
