DHAKA, Dec 04, 2025 (BSS) – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) to jointly accelerate education, research and training activities.

The MoU was signed at the Petrobangla’s boardroom graced by Vice-Chancellor of BUET Professor Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman and Chairman of Petrobangla Md Rezanur Rahman. 

Petrobangla’s secretary Md Amzad Hossain and BUET’s Director of Research and Innovation Centre for Science and Engineering (RISE) Professor Dr Mohammad Shariful Islam signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides, he said. 

The MoU was expected to accelerate research activities through enhanced information exchange between Petrobangla and the faculty and students of BUET. The collaboration will also play a significant role in meeting future industry needs through mutual exchange of knowledge, technology and experience.
