2 dengue patients die, 455 hospitalised in last 24 hrs

DHAKA, Dec 8, 2025 (BSS) – Two dengue patients died while 455 hospitalised in the last 24 hours today across the country.

Of the dengue patients, 57 patients were admitted to the hospitals in the last 24 hours in  Barishal division, while 51 patients in Chattogram, 53 patients in Dhaka division, 106 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 55 in  Dhaka South City Corporation, 44 patients in Khulna division, 32 patients in Mymensingh division, 48 in  Rajshahi division, three patients in  Rangpur division and six patients in Sylhet division, said a press release issued by the health emergency operation and control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

On the other hand, a total of 488 dengue patients were released from the hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours while 96, 232 dengue patients have so far been released from hospitals this year.

A total of 98,284 people have been infected with dengue in the country, of whom 62.4 percent was male and 37.6 percent was female.
