Justice Syed Enayet Hossain takes oath as permanent judge of HC

DHAKA, Dec 09, 2025 (BSS) - Justice Syed Enayet Hossain, appointed as a permanent judge of the High Court, took oath today.

Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed administered the oath at the Chief Justice’s private chamber in the Supreme Court here this afternoon.

The ceremony was conducted by the Registrar General of Bangladesh Supreme Court Muhammad Habibur Rahman Siddiqui. Judges of the Appellate Division, the Attorney General, General Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Secretary of the Bar Council and officials of the Supreme Court Registry were present at that time.

On November 11, 22 additional judges of the High Court were appointed as permanent judges. The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry issued a gazette notification formalizing their appointments. 

Of the 22, a swearing-in ceremony for 21 judges was held on November 12 but Justice Syed Enayet Hossain could not take the oath then due to his illness.
