Entry to national memorial restricted ahead of victory day celebrations

DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) – Public entry to the National Memorial area in Savar has been restricted for three days for celebration of Victory Day on December 16. 

“The National Memorial area in Savar will remain closed to the public from 13 to 15 December to keep the premises clean ahead of the celebration of Victory Day-2025,” an official handout said here today.

Additionally, on the morning of 16 December, public entry to the memorial will be restricted until 08:30 am during the wreath-laying ceremony by VVIPs, VIPs, and invited guests.
 
As part of the day’s celebrations, no posters, banners, or festoons will be allowed along the road from Gabtoli, Dhaka, to the National Memorial.

The public has also been urged to avoid causing any damage to the flowerbeds while laying wreaths at the memorial in Savar.
