
DHAKA, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) - A special cell formed under the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) to prevent fake information, misleading contents and rumours until the next national elections has been working round-the-clock to monitor online and social media, verify information and ensure authenticity.
To this end, the NCSA is working in coordination with the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) and law enforcement agencies, an official release said.
Before sharing any information or content on social media, the people are requested to verify its sources and immediately inform the NCSA if they find suspicious, provocative or anti-national contents.
It is the responsibility of all to keep the country's cyberspace safe. The NCSA has requested all to refrain from spreading false or misleading information, photo cards and videos and to make others aware of the trap of anti-state quarters.
The NCSA has a 24/7 helpline service for the public to quickly help prevent cybercrime. The following e-mail addresses are available for receiving various complaints from citizens.

The NCSA sought cooperation from all so that they can together play a role in using the country's digital space safely and responsibly, the release said.
