GAIBANDHA, Jan 1, 2026 (BSS)- As many as 1,739,367 sets of textbooks were distributed among students of 1,366 primary schools in the district today amid much enthusiasm.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) informally distributed textbooks to students of Collegiate Government Primary School here. 

District Primary Education officer Lakshan Kumar Roy accompanied the DC during book distribution activity to the students of the school. 

Talking to the BSS DPEO Lashan KUMAR Roy said the textbooks were also distributed to the students of 458 Kindergarten (KG) schools and 45 NGO run primary schools of the district today, he added. 

The textbooks were distributed to the students of primary schools of all seven upazilas in the district at the initiative of the respective school in cooperation with upazila primary education offices, the DPEO concluded.
