CUMILLA, Jan 09, 2026 (BSS) - Chief Adviser's Special Assistant on Posts, Telecommunications and ICT, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, today emphasized the importance of managing the services of various government departments in an integrated manner to make public services easy, coordinated, and citizen-friendly.

He made the remarks while delivering the keynote speech as the chief guest at an orientation and skill-enhancement workshop for entrepreneurs on "Citizen Services Bangladesh" held at the Circuit House auditorium in Comilla.

"Citizen Services Bangladesh' is a reform-oriented and timely initiative of the government, aimed at reducing the long-standing difficulties faced by citizens and ensuring integrated government services under one roof," Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb said.

He further said that instead of moving from one department to another, citizens will now receive the required services within a single framework, which will enhance both the quality and efficiency of service delivery.

Taiyeb added that the citizen service centres established at the local level will serve as a credible and visible reflection of the government's service provision. He noted that the trust, satisfaction, and experience of service recipients will be the main indicators of the initiative's success.

The Chief Adviser's Special Assistant said that field-level entrepreneurs will play a crucial role in implementing the initiative. They will act as representatives of the government in managing the citizen service centres and ensuring service quality. He also urged that utmost care be taken to protect personal information and data.

The entrepreneurs participating in the workshop said that the training gave them a detailed understanding of the "Citizen Services Bangladesh" initiative and that they would play an active role in effectively managing citizen service centres in their respective areas.

The workshop was organized by the ICT Division with support from the Comilla district administration and Aspire to Innovate (a2i). A total of 100 selected entrepreneurs from the union, municipal, upazila, and district-level digital centres of Comilla and Brahmanbaria districts took part in the event.
