Nepal PM congratulates Bangladesh on polls

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) – Nepal’s Prime Minister Sushila Karki today congratulated Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman for leading his party to victory.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to Tarique Rahman on leading the Bangladesh Nationalist Party to a remarkable victory in the elections,” she said in a message. 

“I look forward to working closely with you (Rahman) to strengthen our neighbourly ties and consolidate cooperation in areas of mutual interest, "read the message.  

The Nepalese premier also conveyed “warm congratulations to the government and the people of Bangladesh on the successful conduct of the 13th parliamentary elections.”
