RAJSHAHI, March 2, 2026 (BSS)- Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon, MP, has pledged 
to support the overall development of Paba Upazila Press Club.

He stated that the media is the mirror of society. Through objective and 
responsible reporting, journalists present the problems, potentials, and 
development of society to the public.
 
Alongside elected representatives, journalists also play a crucial role in 
implementing development initiatives. 

He made these remarks during an exchange of views with journalists at his 
office located in the BSCIC area of the city today.

During the meeting, the Press Club leaders highlighted various aspects of the 
organisation and discussed the professional development of journalists as 
well as infrastructural support for the club. 

Regarding the development of the Press Club, the lawmaker said, "If 
journalists are strong and well-organized, democracy will also stand on a 
solid foundation. Therefore, I will sincerely assist in building Paba Upazila 
Press Club as a modern and effective institution. I will also support 
coordinated initiatives for infrastructural development, enhancement of 
professional skills, and improvement of the working environment for 
journalists."
 
"Media cooperation is essential to accurately convey the development 
activities of Paba-Mohanpur to the public. Any criticism should be presented 
constructively-I will receive it positively because criticism helps make our 
work more precise and dynamic," he added.

President of the Upazila Press Club Kazi Nazmul Islam, its Vice Presidents 
Mahbubur Rahman Dulal and Zahid Hasan Palash and General Secretary Sohel 
Mahbub were present, among others.
