Youth killed in Munshiganj road crash

MUNSHIGANJ, March 2, 2026 (BSS) - A youth was killed and another injured in a 
road accident on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Srinagar upazila of the 
district this morning.

The deceased was Sajeed, 19, son of Md. Matiur Rahman of Darikandi village in 
Jajira upazila of Shariatpur district. 

The accident took place in the Umpara area when motorcycle rider Sajeed hit a 
roadside railing after losing control of his bike. He died on the spot.

The other rider, Md. Adnan, 20, was admitted to Srinagar Health Complex with 
a seriously injured condition. 

Sergeant Nazmul Alam, duty officer of Hansara Highway Police Station, said 
that the body of the deceased has been taken to his village by the family.
