ACC conducts raid on Ctg LGED office

CHATTOGRAM, Mar 2, 2026 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a raid on allegations of corruption and irregularities, including embezzlement of funds allocated for development projects under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Chattogram office. 

 The ACC enforcement team visited the LGED Chattogram office this afternoon and recorded the statement of the Executive Engineer regarding the allegations. 

The ACC sources mentioned embezzlement of funds for projects in Hathazari, Karnaphuli, and Anwara upazilas of Chattogram, along with irregularities in the work. 

The team has requested project records to verify the allegations. ACC Chattogram Deputy Director Subel Ahmed stated that a report will be submitted to the commission after reviewing the records.
