ACC submits CS against P K Halder & 17 others

DHAKA, Mar 02, 2026 (BSS)- Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved the charge sheet against 18 persons including P K Halder in a case filed for embezzlement of funds in the name of loans from International Leasing and Financial Services Limited.

Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)’s Public Relations Department Tanzir Ahmed told journalists at the commission’s headquarters here today.
The ACC gave the approval under sections 409, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 109 of the Penal Code, 1860, section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947 and sections 4(2) and 4(3) of the Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2012.

The other accused persons are- proprietor of Moon Enterprise Shankha Bepari, directors and associated officials of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited- Nurul Alam, Nasim Anwar, Md.  Nuruzzaman, Mohammad Abul Hashem, M A Hashem, Zahirul Alam, Nowsherul Islam, Basudeb Banerjee and Papia Banerjee.

Also included in the charge sheet are- former Managing Director Rashedul Haque, former Acting Managing Director Syed Abed Hasan, Vice President Nahida Runai, Assistant Vice President Al Mamun Sohag, Senior Manager Rafsan Riad Chowdhury, Company Secretary Rafiqul Islam Khan and Management Trainee Officer Marzina Begum. They were the officials of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited.   
The ACC said the accused, in collusion with each other abused and fraudulently misappropriated and laundered a substantial amount of the institution’s funds. 

Following investigation, the ACC found prima facie evidence against the accused persons and subsequently approved the charge sheet.
