Govt seeks information from 150 educational institutions for smart classroom project

DHAKA, March 04, 2026 (BSS) - The government has launched the ‘Smart Classroom Installation’ project to introduce a modern education system in selected secondary schools across the country.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has sought information from 150 selected educational institutions for the feasibility study of this project, which is being implemented jointly by the governments of Bangladesh and China.

A directive signed by Minhajuddin Ahmed, Assistant Director of the Planning and Development Branch of DSHE, has asked the district secondary education officers and heads of institutions to send this information. 

According the office order a total of 300 smart classrooms will be set up in 150 selected schools under the project titled 'Establishment of Smart Classrooms in Selected Secondary Schools of Bangladesh'.

It said that a Google Form (https://forms.gle/YXvsqCoterELB76LA) has been activated to verify the current infrastructure and technical capabilities of the schools in light of the questionnaire provided by the Chinese technical team. 

DSHE said that educational institutions that have not yet provided information will have to send the information through the specified link by March 5. However, institutions that have already submitted information do not need to provide information again.

DSHE also requested the concerned district education officers to coordinate with the principals of the selected schools under their jurisdiction to ensure that accurate information is provided within the stipulated time.
