JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, April 15, 2026 (BSS) - The Jahangirnagar University
Model United Nations Association (JUMUNA) is set to organise a three-day
Jahangirnagar Model United Nations 2026 (JMUN'26) conference, beginning on
May 15 at the campus.

The eighth edition of the conference will continue until May 17, bringing
together aspiring diplomats, policymakers and youth leaders from across the
country and abroad to engage in debates and diplomacy-focused activities,
said a press release signed by JUMUNA President Fahmida Sultana Tammana this
afternoon.

The conference, themed "Reimagining Peace, Sustainability, and Economic
Stability Through Global Cooperation Towards a Climate-Resilient World", aims
to enhance participants' critical thinking, negotiation skills and global
awareness through simulated committee sessions.

During the event, delegates will take part in high-level discussions, draft
resolutions and participate in expert sessions, networking opportunities and
cultural engagements designed to enrich their overall experience.

Organisers expect this year's edition to witness strong participation,
continuing JMUN's tradition of promoting youth leadership and global
engagement.
