Distressed Women and Children Aid Fund invites applications

\DHAKA, April 27, 2026 (BSS) - The Department of Women's Affairs has invited applications from distressed women and children for assistance under the Distressed Women and Children Aid Fund.

Applications must be submitted by May 20, according to a notification issued by the department.

The fund, run by the Department of Women's Affairs, provides one-time financial assistance to helpless, sick, orphaned, financially distressed, acid-affected persons, meritorious students, and women and children affected by natural disasters.

Applications are invited in the prescribed form from eligible applicants seeking assistance from the fund.

The application form is available on the department's website: dwa.gov.bd. It can also be collected and submitted at district and upazila offices of the Department of Women's Affairs.

Applicants themselves or their nominated guardians may collect and submit the forms.

The fund generally provides financial assistance ranging from Taka 5,000 to Taka 50,000 or more for treatment, legal aid, or one-time support to eligible beneficiaries.
