Pak HC & UK delegation meet Milon

DHAKA, April 27, 2026 (BSS)- Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider and a UK delegation today paid separate courtesy calls on Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon.

During the meetings at the ministry office in the Secretariat, discussions were held on various issues of mutual interests and development of the education and cultural sectors, said a press release.

At the meeting with the Pakistani delegation, the Education Minister said there is ample scope to further strengthen teacher training and exchange programmes between the two countries. He expressed hope that cooperation in education, sports and technology would expand further in the future.

Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider said the Government of Pakistan is currently offering scholarships for Bangladeshi students in various contemporary fields including biotechnology, BBA, artificial intelligence (AI), computer engineering and fashion designing.

He also mentioned that bilateral cooperation programmes such as Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme and Training for Civil Services are running successfully.
Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Md. Wasif was present. 

Earlier, a UK delegation led by Chief Executive Officer of a UK Management College and Chairman of Central University of Science and Technology Md. Zahidul Islam also met the Education Minister.

The UK delegation included Director of University of Wolverhampton Dr. Robin Carey and Dr. David Atkinson.

Senior officials of the Education Ministry were present.
