DHAKA, April 27, 2026 (BSS) – Four more people have died of measles and measles-like symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours, according to a press release sent from the control centre of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today. 

It said that in the last 24 hours, 1,358 new suspected measles patients have been reported across the country and 90 confirmed measles patients were admitted to hospitals, said the release.

The cumulative number of hospital admissions with suspected measles has reached 22,442 so far. Of them, 19,018 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Since March 15, a total of 220 people have died due to measles and measles-like symptoms across the country.
