KU VC stresses transparency, accountability in financial management

KHULNA, May 8 (BSS) - Khulna University (KU) Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammad Rezaul Karim today stressed the need for transparency and accountability in financial management across institutional activities.

He made the remarks while addressing the inaugural session of a daylong workshop titled "Financial Management in Government Sector: Accounting, Auditing and Compliance," organised by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the lecture theatre of the Urban and Rural Planning (URP) Discipline.

The vice chancellor said sound financial management is essential for effective institutional governance and noted that all financial activities must be conducted transparently and responsibly.

Emphasising professional development, he said there is no alternative to acquiring professional skills in the workplace. He also urged teachers, officials and staff to develop a learning mindset and the ability to face challenges in order to build Khulna University into an ideal institution in the country.

IQAC Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman presided over the workshop.
