Training on OBE held at RUET

RAJSHAHI, May 17, 2026 (BSS)- Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) Professor SM Abdur Razzak has said students must learn to ask questions.

“This will help develop their intellect and drive them toward innovation or discovery. Alongside academic education, outcome based education will advance students,” he said.
 
He made the remarks while inaugurating a training session on Outcome Based Education (OBE) with the participation of first-year students from RUET’s Faculty of Civil Engineering.

The training was organized by the Institute of Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at RUET auditorium. 

This OBE training will continue in two phases. Students of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering will take part on Monday and students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will participate on Tuesday.

The event was chaired by IQAC Director Professor Dr. Md. Imdadul Haque while Dean of civil engineering faculty Professor Kamruzzaman, IQAC Additional Directors Professor Mahmud Sazzad and Professor Dr. GKM Hasanuzzaman were present as special guests.
